Just a quick search on Reverb and some used ones are listed for that price. I would get one but I have so much broken shit piling up now is not the time

422Sort of want, but $500 is kinda steep for the amount of work this needs. Those preamp tubes are probably still good though, look like GE and Amperex Holland 7025s:

423Bass player in my band is desperately trying to unload a Traynor 2x15 cab. It has the original speakers and their classic silver grill cloth. I have a newish 2x12 that I love under my Traynor and the temptation is purely brand/aesthetic. I already have an unwanted Marshall 4x12 taking up space and 2 bass cabs at my place.

424You could probably get a couple hundo for those 7025s, though.Nate Dort wrote: Sat Feb 18, 2023 8:58 am Sort of want, but $500 is kinda steep for the amount of work this needs. Those preamp tubes are probably still good though, look like GE and Amperex Holland 7025s:

425IMHO the speakers in those 2x15s (assuming YT-15) are terrible - I've owned two. They look great and I learned about EV15s from replacing them in one. For guitar, I wouldn't replace a well loved 2x12 with one ever. If you play bass, they're a fun size.losthighway wrote: Sat Feb 18, 2023 9:32 am Bass player in my band is desperately trying to unload a Traynor 2x15 cab. 426I'm close enough to pick that up and get a discount and I'd still prrrrobably avoid. Given those amps likely Power Transformer is dead so those tubes would cover that cost and you're stuck with the effort to sell them and the work involved. these come up enough still.Nate Dort wrote: Sat Feb 18, 2023 8:58 am Sort of want, but $500 is kinda steep for the amount of work this needs. If you live in LA region and still really want it I could go grab/hold onto this for you: https://offerup.com/item/detail/1277db8 ... q=AIMS+amp

427Any idea if these drums are any good?
I know Sonor can be decent, but not much beyond that. Seems like a steal.
(I live in an apartment and was thinking of just getting something and throwing silentstroke heads on it)

Re: TRAYNORetcALERT- The "Look What's on Ebay" Thread
428No way these are 1970s. I think 125 is their anniversary and therefore my guess is these are whatever their budget line was in Y2K. They look like every other budget kit from Taiwan and it looks like they were cared for. I wouldn’t expect these will ever be anyone’s pride and joy, but they probably sound fine when tuned up properly and the hardware looks solid as well. Heads are new as well. Seems like for your needs this will work fine and the price is great.
Re: TRAYNORetcALERT- The "Look What's on Ebay" Thread
429^agreed. They might be a step up from Pearl Exports but not by a lot. Hard to argue with a functioning kit for $150 tho.
Re: TRAYNORetcALERT- The "Look What's on Ebay" Thread
430Thanks fellas. The 125 thing threw me too. The seller claims "This is a kit that I bought of a buy[sic] whose father used to use the kit to play in jazz band." which is a little odd. I guess he wasn't a very experienced drummer, then...
