Added a US friendly link for those that haven't seen this.

Generally guests go on those shows and nibble at the food and give polished answers. Steve just fuckin' plows into the sandwich and rails on capitalism. Gives zero fucks.

This post made me very happy.

Yeah, Bourdain’s shows were fun. Sad ending. That said, his politics were trash. He was giving off Centrist Dad vibes before it was cool. He often could articulate problems of any place he was in but was blind to anything systemic. Steve just does what he did and calls out the bullshit with zero filter.

This is one of my favorite memories of Steve when we were just puppies.
No one was dancing, so we played the chorus of My Sharona over and over until the principal marched onto the stage, thrust a check at us, and said, "Leave! Now!"
Gentle Reader, we cashed the check at a Safeway on the way home to Missoula. No charges were filed.

Maybe the funniest thing he was ever a part of.

I missed the detail every other time I heard or read about it that you...played for two hours. That is hard to believe. But so much better that it being short if it's true.

Sometimes I do think it's a wonder he survived past about 28.
