This is true. They don't sound alike and Beans cost ten time as much.

My friend just sold his TB500 for a dickhead amount of money. He's so stoked (I suggested it) he's buying me a guitar with one microscopic piece of the proceeds (that is an awesome guitar) to say thanks.

Travis Beans cost way too much money now. The appeal with the them about 10 years ago was that they were awesome guitars for cheap money. Now you may as well say a 60s Mosrite is an awesome guitar, or a vintage Tele, or an ES330 as if you can afford a Travis Bean you can afford pretty much anything.

I don't really see what the point of that would be.

Kevin is extremely talented and an absolute gentleman to deal with, but i'm not sure that his talents are best served by making aluminium replicas of existing guitar models/shapes. Still, if he enjoys making them and everyone enjoys playing them then what do I know. I do know however that I would probably buy an EGC if it seemed more like it's own, unique thing. Couldn't you just buy the original non-aluminium guitar for *approximately* the same price (even with Beans themselves, until recently)? It's not like, say, the EMI licensed Chandler stuff or a Pultec based Manley...or maybe it's becoming that way.

Wait a minute, Jodi owns more than one TB500?!

1/ It was a joke to Jodi. Her answer shows that she had understood it was humor.

2/ Have you checked Kevin's new models?
He has changed the design of his guitars for several months and they really start to have their own style. The new models aren't so TB500 inspired anymore.

:D :D :D :D :D 8) :D :D :D :D
...for three days, since it arrived in the "Island of the Lady",
I've constantly plaied the prototype of the Electrical Guitar Company
brand new line called "IsotonaG",including the E (for Electrical)logo
digged in the headstock.
Through joy,honesty,passion,loyalty and
huge respect for all the manufacturers that,in the history of the guitar,
have struggled to experiment how to improve such a wonderful instrument,I feel to say, sincerely and without useless words,
that the IsotonaG is the best, finest guitar that I have ever plaied in my entire life.
Excellent instrument in:
-sound,
-design,
-electronics,
-weight,
-craft,
-originality.
Kevin told me that the IsotonaG line will include:
-IsotonaG,like the prototype with three P90s;
-IsotonaG I ,with one p.u.(P90 design);
-IsotonaG II.with two p.u's(" ")
....and also :
-IsotonaG Baritone,with three P90s,
-IsotonaG I Baritone.with one P90,
-IsotonaG II Baritone.with two P90s

-IsotonaG Bass, with two p.ups(typology not specified yet).

In my opinion, all the amazing brands and models that have contributed
to the developpement of the guitar(such a marvelous instrument),
have(all of them)a precise and unique honour in the guitar history,
so that, selling a TB to buy an EGC,or viceversa,
is just a personal demand that make us to consider
an instrument better than another.
I've seen many people playing Travis Bean(500,1000,1000A,etc)
but the only person that wear the sound of the TB500 as his own skin,
imprinting his personality and style,
is,no doubt,Steve"Albiznonnini"Albini.

In the aluminum, related to the electric world,
Wandrè,Jacobacci,Messenger,Kramer,Travis Bean,Veleno,
all of them have contributed to open the road
to Electrical Guitar Company, the newest and modern
voice in the electric world of the aluminum material.

Kevin loves Travis Bean and Veleno,
he looks up the above historical manufacturers,
his passion and respect for the past is his energy
to create something new for the future.

Salut a tutt.
