I'm curious how you all follow baseball.I've started trying to follow from Germany over the past couple years. I try to stream part of the MLB free game of the day when I can, normally from the day before due to the time difference. Games are honestly too long for the time I have, I can manage about an hour max at night off and on because my little dude usually goes to sleep at ten. Lately I have been watching condensed games, which is satisfying. Just watched MLB Tonight for the first time yesterday.So, how do you follow? What do you watch? What do you read? How Do You Follow Baseball is a great question...because there are a lot of options and each has a distinct flavor. I listen on the radio almost exclusively. The only time I catch it on TV is if I'm in a bar and the game is on, or if it's post season play my wife and I usually make a point to head to a bar to catch the game. We also usually attend a game or 2 a year.For me, baseball is all about the AM radio broadcast. I grew up in Chicagoland and Ron Santo and Patt Hughes were my into to baseball. I moved to Milwaukee 16 years ago and, say what you will about Bob Uecker, but he is an incredible broadcaster. Play by play and color commentary all in one. His stories are great, he's often generally funny, and he is a direct line to baseball history. I got hooked listening to Cubs day games as they made the work day pass quicker. After moving up to Milwaukee I realized not every team plays tons of day games during the week and that was a bummer. I would catch weekend games in the back yard when I could, but usually just one or 2 a week. Over the past decade or so the Brewers have had some great seasons, so my listening and attention increased. Lately I catch probably 4 games a week. I listen while cooking and eating dinner, doing yard or house work, relaxing with a beer, etc. It definitely helps that my wife is into it too...listening to baseball is sort of a skill you have to hone and if she wasn't into it, there's no way I would have it on so often. Just Sunday a regular 9 inning game took almost 4.5 hours.I never watch ESPN or listen to sports talk radio or read about trades or anything else, just listen to games.

Don't make the same mistake I did. I subscribed to MLB At Bat (radio) instead of MLB TV. It's just a couple bucks more and it has all the same features. The only radio guys I like are the mariners, giants, and nationals. They won't suck up to the home team. (It helps that they're all losers I guess.)
