I've been wondering how long Avid can pull this kind of horseshit before nobody will buy their shitty platform.

I just bought a Mamiya C220 with an 80mm lens and a few rolls of film.

Yeah I'm in the middle of learning Cubase and wont go back ever. As soon as my interface dies I'm selling my Native card and that's it. Has been kind of fun going through old sessions and hearing mine and people I have recorded music, 90% of which is awful.

Apparently if you go to school to learn modern DAW-type record engineering, you either learn on Pro Tools or Ardour, which is an open-source linuxy jobber that looks a lot like Pro Tools. So if what you liked about Pro Tools was the workflow, maybe Ardour is the answer? I think they even have a Windows version.

I have a perfect Pbass and I wanted a second bass that is just completely different. Was looking at 4003s and then remembered that Electrical had been making bolt on necks. I think they’re a heck of a deal. I can wait the many months.

Had dinner with my Ardour-using friend tonight and was told he uses it on Windows these days. It supports VST2 and 3 if you have a Waves bundle or something that you want to move over from your Pro Tools rig.

Yeah if it supports Vst2 and three then I would be thrilled! Thanks!
