Yes, SoaP is an unprecedented piece of populist filmmaking. Yes, it will likely lead to studios trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice with horrible ripoffs like "Sharks in a Subway" or "Hobo in my Bathroom." These movies will fail, the studios will look like idiots, and we'll move on. But we'll still all have Snakes on a Plane. The end.
