The seller claims that except for the missing power supply all parts of the mic are included and that nothing seems to be damaged.

Yes it's hard to get over.

I actually saw it and thought - should I buy it? I don't have a PSU for it, I don't know if it's easy to track a PSU or build one. I know, it's stupid, I should have bought it.

There was also a 19a19 that went for 1000$, that's not bad. There's also a 19a9 now on ebay. The seller had another one which was sold for 1100$.

I was tracking the $1150 BIY 19a9 but the seller would not post pictures of the capsule. I won't buy a mic of this vintage, especially an eastern european block mic without seeing the capsule first.

If you go to Klaus Heine's forum and search Lomo you'll see a capsule that's corroded beyond usefulness. It happens.

That 19a9 that sold yesterday might have been perfect but without pictures of the capsule it's a gamble.

Yeah, seen this thread and heard about it happening with Lomos. Actually, there was a thread here probably a month or two ago about the same issue. Although the guy's lomo is/was corroded, he says it still sounds fine.

I didn't plan to buy the lomo, but I thought it was cheap, I guess the seller had a good reason not to take pictures of the capsule.

Thanks for the tip. I bid but did not win.

But I did win the Lomo 19a9 that went today for $1300. It's a lot of cash but I'm still really happy. I've been wanting to buy this mic for months now. And the capsule "looks" healthy. I will let you know how it shoots out against my mint condition 19a19 and my partners heavily smoked on U47.

Look at what I won! Hopefully its similar in quality and sound to the ones with one cutaway.
