Just before hitting the hay, I learned this is available for purchase independently of AMC+, on Prime, YouTube, etc., so it's on.
Will try to go into it without expectations, in relation to either the book or
BCS. Hoping it'll be fun.

Swarm is fucking suuuuuuuper gnarly.
Zero clue exactly where it's going (and I'll assume the creators are pulling a bait-and-switch with some of the press surrounding it) but I'm on board.
Makes me feel uncomfortable.
I wish I could see this, but no Prime. Donald Glover is very talented.

Some terrible people have illegally hosted all sorts of TV shows on sites such as
this one.
Isn't that absolutely terrible? I hope the police shut them down...

Totally. I would never patronize a website like that.

Fall (2022)
Story and dialog are pretty trite overall. But man o man did this movie give me constant anxiety throughout. I don't remember the last time any film (and I watch a lot of horror) caused such a visceral reaction, and for such a sustained amount of time. I enjoyed the experience even though it was a hard watch. Recommend watching it on a giant TV.

It's been mentioned, but I'll also chime in about Swarm, I'm on episode 2 and it's fantastic so far. Makes my stomach hurt.

Poker Face on Peacock is a fun diversion…Peter Bagge meets Columbo vibes
Late to the thread to mention this one but this was our absolute favorite series over the winter.
Catching up on the Paramount+ iteration of Beavis and Butt-Head before the second season of that starts up and, in all honesty, Mike Judge still has it. Haven't seen an episode that's failed to make me laugh yet.

Season 2 of Reservation Dogs had higher highs and lower lows than season 1. There were some laugh out loud moments, some tears, some amusing surreal stuff and times where the show seemed to lose its sense of purpose.

Am curious about
Lucky Hank, set to premiere on AMC soon. Unfortunately we don't have AMC+ anymore, but . . .
It's based on the book
Straight Man by Richard Russo, which I happened to read circa 2004, via a bookworm friend of mine who'd lent it to my then-gf. All three of us liked it. Sort of in the ballpark of
Wonder Boys, in that it deals with an older prof type under some duress, trying to iron out some issues. I found it to be a well written tale--crisp prose, wry humor, and some good commentary about academia and the culture at large. It stood out to me because at the time I was reading few contemporary novels, and it reflected well on lit set in the then-present. Anyway, haven't seen any trailers/previews for the show, but Bob Odenkirk is in it, so am guessing they'll be playing it for laughs.
just started watching, pretty great. music by everyone's second favourite podcaster, Joe Wong

HBO Max
The Rehearsal, Nathan Fielder's new show:
YES. First episode did not disappoint, and knowing how these shows go will only get weirder and more elaborate as they go.
(the Fielder-produced
How To With John Wilson on Max is also great, haven't seen that mentioned on the board yet)
I didn't get a chance to see the rest of the episodes until now, but the show's turn near the end of that first season was so deeply, deeply strange, all the way through to the final lines of the final episode.
It's early, but I won't be surprised to see
The Rehearsal on a top five list for the best TV shows of the 20's.
