Big Star - "O My Soul"

This is so by far the best Big Star song ever that it's not even funny.

I have been trying to play this song for months and months. So far I have the intro/first verse.

Little Lies - Fleetwood Mac. The office radio has been tuned to an 80s station for almost two weeks now. Before this it was The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats. I feel like I'm in a cab office on a Saturday night.

If I could put my headphones in, I would be listening to London Zoo by The Bug. Fuck me this record is good. Industrial strength ragga/dancehall/dub.

I am in the process of listening to every Silkworm record I own. I think there are 5 or 6 of them in the pile. JHC! Firewater might be the greatest record ever made!

My air-guitaring this afternoon has been transcendent. And I don't use that word lightly!

Iggy Pop, The Idiot

A brilliant, depressive album that, for me, leaves at least part of Bowie's contemporary Berlin work in the dust.
