So I hear that in the next 6 months or so there's gonna be a big legal surge against torrent and P2P sites. It is a 'mate in the pub' type source, but a pretty reliable one... anyone shed any light on this?

For anyone who's interested - www.what.cd is a private tracker and (apparently) is pretty decent now. A current invite procedure is to go to the irc channel "irc.what.cd/what.cd-invites" and type !queue. They'll ask you a few of questions about music transcoding (e.g. highest bitrate, can you transcode from one format to another).

i've got ten extra myspleen invites if anybody needs one. the mst3k stuff has gone away (as the DAP project now has their own tracker over at dapcentral.org), but there are still some wonders to be found.
