52I would also like to check out Missoula, Montana. For some reason it gets very high marks as one of the best places to live in the U.S. by various magazines & such. I have not been there yet, but the pictures show it to be a beautiful place.

53so, i think of the places i've been, i'd be happy in seattle or alabama or nashville. new york for a short time maybe-if i was filthy rich...otherwise, san fransisco-i never hear a bad word said about it in terms of living.

My brother lived in San Francisco for a long time. He had to share a pad with a few other roomates because the occupancy rate is around 99%, and apartments are extremely hard to find. He finally got out of SF and moved across the bay to Berkeley, or as he calls it; "The People's Republic of Berkeley." He loves it out there, has no desire to move anywhere else.
