I get it that you don't want to have any obligation to vote, and you don't want anyone to try to talk you into it. I get it. Now why do you say we are imposing such a "duty" on you? I am just trying to understand why someone with complaints about his government will willingly discard his one opportunity to influence it. It is apparently because you don't think your single vote is powerful enough. Not using it makes that position self-fulfilling.

Or do you have no complaints?

Hey, Earwicker- it's never too late to correct history. This will provoke a major propaganda backlash in the controlled media- can our lame duck President still call in the favors to squash the story and slander Kennedy for this?

EXCLUSIVE: BOBBY KENNEDY JR. TO QUESTION 2004 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN MAJOR ROLLING STONE FEATURE ARTICLE!
Says 'Evidence Shows High-Level Republicans Suceeded in Scheme to Steal Election in Ohio'!
Mag to Hit Stands Friday, Internet on Thursday, Publicity Push to Accompany

A damning and detailed feature article, written by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., for Rolling Stone and documenting evidence of the theft of the 2004 Presidential Election is set to hit newstands this Friday, The BRAD BLOG can now confirm. The online version of the article will be posted tomorrow (Thursday) morning.

The article -- headlined on the cover as "Did Bush Steal the 2004 Election?: How 350,000 Votes Disappeared in Ohio" -- has been several months in development and will contend that a concerted effort was undertaken by high-level Republican officials to steal the Election in Ohio -- and thus the country -- in 2004!

Kennedy told The BRAD BLOG this morning that "the best evidence says the Republicans succeeded" in their plan.

He writes in the 10-page long article, and confirmed to us today, that evidence shows Ohio Sec. of State J. Kenneth Blackwell was "certainly in on" the scheme, and there are indications that the effort went all the way up to the White House.

Kennedy, who is co-host of Ring of Fire, a weekend show on Air America Radio, is an environmental attorney and the son of the late Robert F. Kennedy. This is his first public foray into the realm of Election Fraud, Election Integrity, Electronic Voting and, in particular, the questionable results of Election 2004.

A major publicity push is currently in the works to accompany the feature story which is sure to get the attention of more than a few D.C. and Buckeye State pols in addition to the mainstream media who have, of late, begun reporting more frequently on the litany of concerns and now-documented evidence that new electronic voting machines are hackable through a number of means.

Several public appearances are currently being scheduled for Kennedy in the coming weeks, including an appearance on The Colbert Report currently scheduled for Monday, June 12.

Sources have told The BRAD BLOG that Kennedy "does not hold back in this article."

One of the election integrity advocates involved in research and development with Kennedy on the story told us a number of weeks ago that "[Kennedy] essentially says everything that those of us who have been contending there was massive chicanery in the '04 election were right, and the media and politicians who ignored it at the time were wrong."

We'll have more details and information shortly from the story which includes quotes from Democrats such as Howard Dean and John Kerry, as well as pollster Lou Harris who also questions the validity of the 2004 Presidential Election in Ohio according to the article...

A sidebar included with the article calls for an investigation into Electronic Voting machines prior to upcoming elections...More soon...

This is a true problem. Some people don't vote just because of this.
You might think your vote is meaningless in the mass of people voting. But sometimes, the difference is very small.
Here in Nice, there is a right wing mayor who was elected in 2001. He had a 1000 votes advantage upon his left wing opponent (in a city of 364000 people). If all the left wing people had voted (especially the anarchists who "don't believe in voting"), Nice might have been a better place now. And it's the people who hadn't voted who complain the most about that mayor.

All this, just to say that your single vote is important and is worth the driving. Nowadays, there still are countries where people die trying to have the right to vote.

Excuse my English.

Someone, somewhere else put an article on here by Jon Ronson, The Tottenham Ayatollah. Most amusing but I mention it cause in the book in which it appears, Them (worth a read it is very, very good) in the same chapter there is the story of a Tory MP in Torquay or somewhere who was rude to a waitress in a restaurant. This waitress normally voted Conservative (Tory) but decided not to at the coming election because of his rudeness. She also told the other staff who also decided not to vote for him and they told there partners/husbands.
I forget the exact numbers but Ronson estimates the Tory lost about twenty odd votes as a result of his rudeness.
He lost his seat at the next election by 12 votes.

I initially started to type this as an example of how one vote can be powerful but now realise it also shows how totally ridiculous the average voters thought processes work when deciding who should represent them.

ARTHUR:
How do you do, good lady? I am Arthur, King of the Britons. Who's castle is that?
WOMAN:
King of the who?
ARTHUR:
The Britons.
WOMAN:
Who are the Britons?
ARTHUR:
Well, we all are. We are all Britons, and I am your king.
WOMAN:
I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective.
DENNIS:
You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship: a self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes--
WOMAN:
Oh, there you go bringing class into it again.
DENNIS:
That's what it's all about. If only people would hear of--
ARTHUR:
Please! Please, good people. I am in haste. Who lives in that castle?
WOMAN:
No one lives there.
ARTHUR:
Then who is your lord?
WOMAN:
We don't have a lord.
ARTHUR:
What?
DENNIS:
I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week,...
ARTHUR:
Yes.
DENNIS:
...but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting...
ARTHUR:
Yes, I see.
DENNIS:
...by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,...
ARTHUR:
Be quiet!
DENNIS:
...but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major--
ARTHUR:
Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!
WOMAN:
Order, eh? Who does he think he is?
ARTHUR:
I am your king!
WOMAN:
Well, I didn't vote for you.
ARTHUR:
You don't vote for kings.
WOMAN:
Well, how did you become King, then?

Mr. Binary wrote:Will some americans who don't want to vote please let me have their votes?

I'd quite willingly come over to america and use some unwanted votes to stave off the Republicans for the next few years.

Thanks in advance,

Mr Binary

If you come to ohio or florida, you might be able to use a ballot confiscated from a Democrat. I doubt they'll even check what country you're from if you tie a big yellow 'support our troops' ribbon around your neck. Just don't let them see who you voted for- they check that now.
