Can anyone recommend a solid, not too expensive bottle? It'll have to be something that exports to the UK so a fairly big brand I would think. Cheers.Bulleit, Four Roses, and Buffalo Trace are all solid bourbons that aren't too expensive and are easy enough to find stateside, so you should probably be able to get it in the UK. Some people like Maker's Mark as a mid-shelf bourbon but I find it way too sweet. Don't bother with Jim Beam unless your choices are slim.Skip Bulleit, it's overpriced. The other two yeah super solid. For mixing Will add Wild Turkey 101 and Evan Williams. For sipping, get a single barrel or small batch Four Roses.

No idea what the pricing is anywhere else. Don't get it if it's more expensive than Buffalo Trace, but consider it an option if it's slightly more than Jim Beam.Agreed on single barrel/small batch Four Roses, them's fantastic.

I have been pretty much just saying fuck it and going full Kirkland for almost every purchase these days. I gotta say, Kirkland bourbon...Pretty good! It wasn't that cheap ($35? $40? Who knows, I never exit costco for less than $150) so it was probably rebranded something-actually-noteworthy.

The shop has a pretty meagre selection but there's a decent reduction on that.it's a wheat finish so it's smoother than rye finish. not too peppery on the back end, not too heavy with butter or caramel kinda tones. For the money it's kinda boring to me, but I like bourbon strong. The facility where it's made is absolutely beautiful and totally worth seeing.

In general Costco Kirkland signature stuff isn't bad quality. I've heard their vodka is Grey Goose.
