It was more like 8 to 10 hours a day for 10 days during their 2001 East Coast tour. Literally a pain in the ass, nonetheless, a great deal of fun.
Sorry for a lack of updates, but things have continued to move slow and not a whole lot to report in terms of the status of the documentary. We are still moving forward and I have collected at least 10 complete live shows from over the years (greatly varying in quality). Unfortunately everything is still pre-Adam Vida and I’m still in dire need of more current performance stuff. If anyone knows of anything please let me know.
I have found one of their last shows in
Birmingham on Google. I have been in contact with the guy that shot this stuff and the footage is supposedly on its way to me. The audio isn’t great, but I have spoken with the Supersonic promoters and they do have a board recording that they would be willing to share, if they can find it.
There was also a guy who shot some really great footage of them at The Abbey Pub, in Chicago, a few years back, but no one in USM remembers who he was. Anyone out there know about this guy\footage? I still would really like to find this stuff.
I have caved to the evils of
MySpace and set up a page in hopes of finding additional footage. My intention is to post updates there as well, but we’ll see if that actually happens. Regardless, I will continue to post updates here. As things have continued to change over the last 5 or 6 months with this project, I hesitate giving updates about any anticipated plans, in fear of only starting rumors. ie: USM planning shows in January for the purpose of the doc. At this point we're just taking what we can get, when we can get it and continue to push forward.
Thanks to all here at EA for your help and continued support.
