As a general rule, 'funny' or otherwise witty band nomenclature is usually compensation for lack of talent though....

Raft of Dead Monkeys
That made me lose it for a while. A raft is such an excellent amount to measure something in, say dead monkeys.

Vic Vacuum and the Attachments always made me laugh, mostly cuz I can just imagine the slogan possibilities.. "They really suck!"
Get it? heh... cuz.. cuz it's a vacuum...
Ok maybe I'm the only one who ever liked that band name.
