Word. On all counts.

I've been relistening to The Velvet Underground a lot recently, and that recording sounds so great. So dry and sparse.

I've been riding that one real hard lately. Such good music for this time of year in my part of the world. Except for that headachey jazz song with the horns.

other "classics"

Powerage by AC/DC
Sad Wings of Destiny by Judas Priest
White Light/White Heat by VU
SF Sorrow by the Pretty Things

Any of the classic early Can records continue to get better and I'm still surprised at how well the first two Roxy Music albums have aged.

Still as good, if not better, than the first time I heard it in college. The songwriting, the dynamics, the musicianship...all of it mindblowing.

Quicksand - Slip
Neurosis - Times Of Grace
In 10 years, everyone will forget all those Isis/Pelican bands but still remember Times Of Grace.

Whoever said 'Heroin Man' is right except its gotta be older than 10 years by now.
I'll second Quicksand 'Slip' too. Not a bad moment on that record. Unless you have the vinyl with the 'How Soon Is Now' cover on it.
