I know you asked Brett, but I'm from Louisville originally, so I can help... Rat was Sean Garrison, the singer for Kinghorse. They were a very influential band in the Louisville music scene, but their music never seemed to resonate outside their hometown. (They're on Youtube for what it's worth.) At any rate, he was a notorious loudmouth and all-around character, hence Brett's comment.

Alright then. Carry on, back to heckling etiquette.

i guess it only gets to this stage when you've heard it once too often - so you really must be bad. is it really worth busting up your equipment over someone's idiot comments? artistes are just so sensitive man...

I love how at the end of that someone shouts out "That was unnecessary"...

Anyone seen that film Dig? About that crappy band that everyone who's interviewed in the film for some reason thinks are amazing...I've been trying for the past twenty minutes to find that scene where the guy from the shitty band makes a heckler stand still in front of the stage then just kicks him in the mouth...

I was at that gig, standing up front, right next to the guy when he got kicked - I even heard the whoosh of Anton's foot and the thump on the guys' face. AH, good times. If you freeze frame on the DVD you can sort of see me.
