It certainly did rock. Although I'm sad that the wires in his mouth weren't hooked up to a talkbox. There simply aren't enough noise act covering the music of Pete Frampton.

Sorry for doing a runner from Pizza Hut and involving Mr Food. I don't really know what happened apart from you let my friend slap you and call you a bastard. Then I never saw you smile again. Negative Approach were amazing. Dead C too. And the child who I previously met in the gamblers (he was about 11yrs old) who was djing in the Irish Pub was ace. I drank Guinness when I wasn't drinking J&B and when that ran out I drank Snakebite and Black. I topped it all off with some strange vodka shooters and a few Gin & Tonics. Someone drove a shopping trolley into my chalet. It contained my friend. Then it got rammed in the wall. I listened to alot of trance and rave for some reason. Dinosaur Jr was mushy which was to be expected. I missed Sonic Youth. Bloody queues (that's LINES to you 'mericans) were a pain. I ate gammon in the Yacht Club. It was kinda shit. Wolf Eyes were good. I was glad. Having seen them twice before already I was ready to be bored by NOISE. I made some cool friends who were eternally optimistic and free spirited in a sea of misery. I have some war wounds but I can live with that. It was a weekend of crazed events. I loved it. I wouldn't be surprised if Butlins in MInehead told ATP to fuck right off if they think they're having any more to do with them after the savage trashing it recieved.

Yeah, where the fuck were you?

Did you see my tets? I've got nice tets, eh?

Beauties, a finer example I am yet to see. Speaking of nudity, I must offer my thanks to the girls in the chalet opposite ours for showering with the window open and the blind up. All the boys and girls in my gang had a good time watching. I think I managed to suitably embarrass the people shagging constantly and noisily in the room next door too. They went pretty quiet after I loudly announced it outside a few times.
Apparently there were a few girls getting down but I missed that unfortunately, I was busy in the middle of a ho down. Of the musical kind, not the hooker kind.

I think that's unlikely. Have been to that site before as, ahem, paid musician for a 70s disco (unpleasant) sensation and that was your typical chicken in a basket, stag/hen weekend & punch up event.

Even with the odd chalet burning I think you'll find that ATP attendees are the typical bunch of post rock pussies you'd expect.

Mind you, I did see Barry Hogan get a dressing down from a Butlins suit whilst we were fruitlessly queued (lined?) for Dinosaur.

I witnessed this too. I was hoping the argument went along the lines of "listen, mate, we get REAL acts on here - Shane Ritchie, members of Steps and next year, a highly recommended Madonna covers act called Masonna - your shit just doesn't compare. Sort yerself out or next year you'll all be playing in the car park."

No matter how pissed off I was, there was still no excuse for the name calling coming from the queue. Still, I'd be interested in seeing the footage taken by the film crew following him around...

Didn't hear what was going on or any name calling but it did look rather uncomfortable.

I think the difference between the two sites is that Minehead houses more people than Camber but the venues don't hold anywhere near the capacity of the site population. Even with the bands being on at seperate times there was always room at Camber. I seem to remember the carpet was less of a beery sinking sand than Butlins.

We did discuss if having a channel that showed the shows might make a difference or with flat panel tvs outside showing the action BUT like when I'm at the back of some coporate booze fest watching the big screen action I wonder what the point in buying my ticket was.

What do people think the answer is?

A different site?

Put bigger bands on at the same time so you have to choose therefore spreading the load?

Those with the best water flume times get priority?
