do you like lightning bolt? they appeal to me much more than hella does.

I'm a huge fan of these guys, myself. And the Mind Flayer thing, too. Lighting Bolt played an amazing show outside, on the sidewalk, up here in Seattle a coupla' years back. Traffic was stopped by the crowd, and the cops nicely let them finish the set. Amazing.

Hella have some quite interesting structures, even pop like structures in some of their songs :/

No ones recommended Polvo :/

Pele are kinda sometimes math, but a great band anyway
Sleeping People
Rumah Sakit
Sweep The Leg Johnny
Tarentel
Storm & Stress
Oxes
Orthrelm (if you like that crazy shit)
Drive Like Jehu

Godzik Pink
Grand Ulena
Uzeda
Bozart
Turing Machine
The Ladies

yes, hella has such a pop-like feel to them. i hear they made top ten on the billboard pop 100's.

i forgot about uzeda, and i just saw them recently (sans vocalist). actually, their instrumental image appeals to me a great deal. great sound, too.

what about math metal, or is no one here into that ish?

The big joke during the Tower clearance sales was that the Coachwhips section seemed to grow as the sale progressed.

I picked up their Double Death disc, because I felt like at $1 I couldn't go wrong.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures

I bought vinyl at the live show, but...well, it's a recording of an obviously live act. I end up reaching for those old Mummies records instead.
