Good thinking Watson, it could of course just as easily be dried blood, and it would need to be just the tiniest trace to register.
What was the story that went around the Portuguese media? That her dad had got a bit heavy-handed with the Calpol before they went out?

The Portuguese news article was published about a week ago and the McCann's moved quickly with libel claims, stating that they had no choice but to challenge the paper's story. I speculate that the story must of been some sort of leak from the police investigation. I can't imagine that the newspaper would be so reckless, without some inside knowledge.

If I was the McCanns, I'd be arranging, and then hightailing after, a "sighting" somewhere like Pakistan that doesn't have an extradition treaty with Britain or Portugal.
The suspicion will hang around them "like the stench from an old man's nappy" if this isn't resolved

This is horrific, if fascinating. I don't really want to hear anymore; should the mother be convicted, the media shit-fight will be disgraceful, and Buddha knows what kind of mass hysterical weirdness will happen to the psyche of the millions who've chosen to invest their emotions in this story.

When is Bradley going to reiterate, for the umpteenth time, his absolute aversion toward "the whole [such-and-such] thing"?
