Um, no, but you can shut the fuck up if you so choose.

If you limit conversation to things that are provable as fact, by way of evidence, this means you are basically a robot with no ability to think creatively or use inductive reasoning.

You can limit your life to robotry, but there will be no such limitation imposed on my thread, thanks.

Personally, I have no proof of anything this administration is doing or has done. I have no proof that Bush is even alive. I've never met him, nor have any of my most immediate and trustworthy friends. So for all I know, he's some exceptionally good CGI.

I can still think about what sort of things I believe this administration is doing and has done. They appear to fucking suck motherfucking ass. I don't really like what it appears they are doing anytime I hear about them doing something.

I haven't suggested anywhere in this thread that there's a conspiracy, or that any person or group is plotting anything. It's just a feeling that something is up. Something different.

Watch for news about Turkey in the coming days/weeks for more interesting and potentially mind-boggling shit going down.

Feelings, hunches, creative thinking, these are examples of what separate us from robots, guy.

You may have misinterpreted my comment,, hogrot. It was not my intent to direct that towards you - I meant it in more towards Chertoff who should be more responsible due to his position in government. For him to express a "hunch" is irresponsible without factual evidence.

Well it's obvious I wasn't clear in my earlier post. What you said. My position is that it's irresponsible for someone viewed as an authority to present unsubstantiated hunches.

What an incredibly bizarre viewpoint, to not take such things as probability or plausibility into account.

Every time I look away from my feet, they might turn into canoes.

Whatever the circumstances, you can probably count on two things:

1. There will be another terrorist attack. What else would you expect? The sun will also rise.

2. Politicians will use whatever statements they have made to jockey for position around that attack, to their benefit. Whatever party in power at the time will be able to grandstand from that position. Others will utilize similar mechanisms for dealing with the attack and its popular perception, for better or for worse. And to greater or lesser effect.

Probably just the conspiracy theorist in me talking here, but I think suspicion that the enemies are amongst us is higher ( much higher ) than it has been previously in US history, and that breeds paranoia.

Anyone find it bizarre that only a few years ago, we as a nation were basically acknowledging that the internment of the japanese was a major incident of national shame. Amazing.
