I don't remember the Neos, but the Tar Babies and Mecht Mensch 45's are great.

Neos were pretty funny. They included tabs for their songs in a 7", with instructions to never play the high E string.

I'll have to look in my 45's. It wouldn't be the first I only listened to once or twice, only to forget I had it.

The Canadian Subhumans were a great band. I'm not sure if I'd call it hardcore though, but again, they certainly played with hardcore bands.

I do have this Neos 45, with the tabs Steve mentions.

Also have the Urban Waste 45.

I don't know, I admit that my genre specifications are kinda arbitrary. But when I hear the word "hardcore," I think of a specific type of punk rock approach that features super-high speeds, power chords, and "fuck the world" lyrics. This approach is a dead-end because (a) power chords eventually become extremely boring, and (b) that "fuck the world" attitude eventually devolved from something genuine and off-the-cuff into Roman gladiator-style posturing.The Descendants were a lot poppier, friendlier and more approachable than, say, Negative Approach, but, for whatever reason they still fit that loose definition of this style and approach to punk.

Ever since I heard it, I've thought Black Dots was the best Bad Brains record.
