what was so scary about neurosis that kept you scared for 6 months.. i mean six months? i got the crap scared out of me when i heard diamanda galas like 3 at night... :? but that's totally different

heh, i don't mean i heard it once and had bad dreams for 6 months, i just listened to it a lot for awhile and it was always really creepy. the female singing on the 2nd song is probably the creepiest part.

Different music for different moods.

Beherit, Turbund Sturmwerk, Deicide, Abruptum, Swans, Current 93, the backing videos for Skinny Puppy's Too Dark Park tour, etc give me that creepy feeling still. Mayhem probably out of all, I still listen to De Mysteriis.. every day and it still has the same effect. Death in June maybe too.

Rudimentary Peni, Suicide, Whitehouse, Throbbing Gristle, Dissecting Table, Godflesh, and even Killdozer, because it approaches a realistic crazy, whether it's schizophrenia, paranoia, etc. It literally feels like your mental process is changing and you've been desensitized to something.

Though i'd say Godflesh's Streetcleaner is probably the closest thing I can imagine atmosphere wise to what i'd like to create in music.

(cough)

The only thing that's scaring me these days is an open bar show at that all Latin American metal place in Queens. That sounds scary.

oh wow, thanks for that! i never knew that was a cover song...

breadfan is an interesting song rhythm-wise, it has this weird momentum to it that makes it totally rock...

I'm 6/80ths the way to #1.
