The Architect by Elevate.
I'd stick that in my 'excellent riff feast' albums too. There are little riffs tucked away in that record that would feed and sustain lesser bands for 5 albums.

And yet that album easily has the weakest, most washed out drum sound of any Melvins record I've ever heard. Sounds like it was tracked straight to mp3.

Yes, really. I think her playing on that record shows some nice restraint - while still thoroughly playing incredible rhythms. It's the fact that it's not up front and in your face that i like - but back there, way in the back, where the drums are - they are perfect.
