I consider smoking in the CTA subways to be a public service. It sorta almost covers up the smell of rancid bum piss.

Being the only regular poster on EA who is from Kent, this post amused me.
Is this how people view Kent? I've had a hard time explaining to my London friends that Kent is absolutely not the quaint, cream-tea-and-scones, home counties idyll that a lot of them believe it to be.

Well, that bit of Kent anyway- kind of orpinton/st. mary cray type endz- not really london, not really kent, not really anywhere. Very, very rough.
Actual Kent... dunno. My old housemate came from Kent and she morris dances, which doesn't help your argument much.

This dude is smoking outside, on a public street and somehow this asshole feels he has the right to come over and tell him to stop because he says he can smell the smoke in his store, three doors down.
