India wins first-ever individual gold, at something called the 10 meter air rifle.
Proof that India is a future superpower, as they beat America at guns.
I showed Mama Razi my 10 meter air rifle last night.

Prone, standing or kneeling? Was the target "reactive"? Did you have a spotter?

The Italian foil fencers are easy on the eyes in addition to being dominant on the strip.
Margherita Granbassi. She took the silver, losing to a teammate for the individual gold.
(I'm a former fencer and have been avidly watching the events thanks to NBC's excellent online streaming coverage.)

The Olympics are excellent.
BBC coverage is a bit rubbish if you're a dirty immigrant though (this is understandable - just frustrating). Have NZ entered any athletes this time? Not on my telly they haven't.
The US team winning the men's 4x100 freestyle! that was a thrilling finish even for a neutral. I wish all races were like that.

I think I remember one of the announcer saying that the NZ contingent had pulled out of the opening ceremonies. He didn't know why.

They were in it. I know because my father-in-law called us crying like baby about it.
Excepting swimming and track, crap.
If they ever bring this garbage to NYC, I am gone.
