I have to ask what is up with "Buyer's Market" anyway. Where did the recordings come from and who compiled them?

Peter Sotos compiled the recordings. I know some of it comes from an episode of Geraldo, because I have said episode on tape. I'd presume the rest of the material comes from other television shows, mostly, but I may be wrong.

Killdozer.

That might work...unless I'm in the room.
Then, you're fucked.

Let me then say that the act of clearing the room is to remove all the riff raff and detritus from the party and to continue to drink with close friends into the wee hours. If you are one of the Killdozer fans, like myself, and make it through to King of Sex, then you are welcome to sleep on the couch and drink my booze.

John Zorn's Kristallnacht is right up there at the top of my list. There's some very high-pitched, shrill twee on this one. Not a terribly listenable record but considering it's about the Night of Broken Glass, that was the point I guess.

Tony Conrad's Four Violins is pretty harsh. I love it but it would drive most of my friends - and most people in general - crazy.

The Conet Project is very cool but I don't think its clear-the-room factor is all that high. It's more of a what-the-fuck? kind of record. I think it wouldn't drive people away. At first, anyways. If you tried to play all four discs I'm sure the room would be empty by the time you got to the end.
