J encored with this when I saw the Fog in 2000. He played the entire song with a keyboard slung around his neck. Hilarious.

Mascis is such a horrid vocalist. But he's so endearingly bad that you start to kind of like him as he yowls all over himself.

For being a bunch of passive-aggressive, whining assholes: Crizzap!

I can't believe I overlooked this band back in the early 90s, his voice used to irritate me a bit. I was a moron, they're fucking amazing.
"Pick me up" from the new album and songs like "Alone" from 'Hand it Over' just completely and utterly blow me away.

The first record is also good, even better in spots. Some of the songs, esp. "Forget the Swan" and "The Lepper" are as good as anything the Wipers, who were twenty times the better band, have done.

I saw them a while back and thought it was a tremendous show. J. is not the guitarist he used to be but the sound was still incredible. Plus it seemed like he was really having a fun time.

If I have already voted in this threat, it was probably: Not Crap.

I like Hand it Over a lot too. Not all of the songs are special, but there are some real goodies in there.
