Drinking more and more of the stuff as I get older.
Not Crap.
Chai and Lapsang Souchong are great, as is a normal blend.
Beverage: Tea
52Not crap. But I do not drink tea. Perhaps tea is a more subtle beverage than coffee, but subtlety is not what I'm all about in the morning.

i drank coffee (which got me through college) exclusively for over a decade and then switched to tea when i met my (now) wife.
my tea regimen is as follows:
6:30am - 1 cup black tea (loose high quality or bagged if i'm being lazy)
8:00am - 1 cup black tea
10:00am - 1st brewing of competition grade ti kwan yin "monkey pick" oolong. i brew this 2-3 more times through the day until...
3:30pm-4:00pm - black tea
sometimes i'll have a bag of green, i keep them around in the office.
chamomile for bedtime.
very little coffee for me nowadays.
iced tea rules too.

I used to drink at least three cans of Mountain Dew a day. Replaced that habit with one mug of black tea in the morning and I have felt shit tons better since.

55one spoon of (1:3) proportion of (leaf tea:dust tea) +
a boiling cup of (30:70) (milk:water) +
1 spoon sugar (or not) +
steep for 4 minutes
= 1 brilliant/magnificent cup of tea.
so good ...that your kidneys refuses to process the brew & the tea comes out as tea, not pee.
Iced tea is better left in the bottle....actually not that bad...but still iced tea

56Coffee. Black coffee, no cream, no sugar, if done right wins hands down.
Tea is for sore throats.

I like both tea and coffee. Depends on the situation and on my mood. Why do you have to love one and hate the other? Seems silly to me.
I'm partial to green teas and my favorite is Chinese dragonwell. Japanese sen-cha and genmai-cha are also near the top of my list. I also like oolongs and some good black teas.
I am also huge fan of authentic Indian chai, which is actually Darjeeling tea with tea-masala (blend of spices intended specifically for tea) and milk added. I don't like that powdered coffeehouse chai crap though.
But if it's a choice between cheap coffee (like Folger's) and cheap tea (like Lipton), I'll take coffee every time.
One more caveat: Not too fond of many of the herb teas. Now that's the stuff for your sore throats.

58Tea for me is the complete drink.
I prefer it hot as hell.
I like a cup in the morning as I am soaking in the Vitamin D from the beautiful sunrises radiation.
a good cup normally takes me to hoogie boogie land
whoo!
