I would ask her the name of the place, but she no longer speaks to me. Whatever it's called, it was crawling with skinny "hipster" chicks, but they knew how to cut hair, so I'm not one to judge.I bet it was Olive, on Nicollet near 15th. Hipsters doing great haircuts for $40. They closed awhile ago. : (

I love my Kinks Kronikles 2xLP, but the quality sucks (obvious back-up copy mixes, if not downright rejects) and it would be nice to have it in the car/on the go.Perhaps it doesn't exist.I have The Ultimate Collection and it's pretty good for the iPod.I second this. Can anyone recommend some plants to put in a new apartment? Ones that are kind of cheap, but look nice and would provide wonderous amounts of oxygen.

I don't care if it's an upright or a canister, but I do need one of those wands that you can attach cleaning tools to (for blinds, in crevices, etc.) Anyone have a vacuum they are in love with?We have a Kenmore something or other. It's heavy and loud, but man does it suck! And the attachments are pretty good. I logged into Consumer Reports and this is what they say are the top five upright canister vacuums:BEST * Hoover WindTunnel Anniversary Edition U6485-900 * Type: Upright vacuum cleaners * Price as tested: * $230Overall score73Overall, this is a very good upright vacuum that excelled in cleaning both carpets and bare floors and at cleaning with tools. It was also excellent at keeping its emissions low, though it was fairly noisy. RECOMMENDED * Miele S 7210 Twist * Type: Upright vacuum cleaners * Price as tested: * $550Overall score72Overall, this is a very good and relatively quiet upright vacuum that excelled at picking up pet hair and keeping emissions low. BEST BUY * Kenmore Progressive 35922 * Type: Upright vacuum cleaners * Price as tested: * $350Overall score71Overall, this is a very good upright vacuum that excelled at cleaning bare floors and picking up pet hair. It was also excellent at keeping its emissions low. BEST BUY * Kenmore Intuition 31100 * Type: Upright vacuum cleaners * Price as tested: * $260Overall score71Overall, this is a very good upright vacuum for the price. BEST BUY * Kenmore Progressive 36932 * Type: Upright vacuum cleaners * Price as tested: * $280Overall score68Overall, this is a very good upright vacuum that excelled at cleaning bare floors and picking up pet hair. I never did get to hear this recording. Is it around somewhere for one to hear?

ended up getting the black and decker 36v cordless electric. thanks for the recommendations. I wish it hadn't rained while it was charging. now i gotta wait for the grass to dry. grr.also, this review from amazon is hilarious and incredible:I have been on the lookout for a mower that is especially good for mowing grass. Unfortunately, gas-powered mowers emit fumes that cause me to become dizzy and nauseous after a few hours, particularly within the confines of a garage with all the doors closed and the mower running. I have tried manual push mowers, however after suffering a stroke due to a combination of physical exertion and diet pills my doctor has advised against them. I am also barred from using a riding lawn mower due to a lawsuit from my homeowners association. After reading the reviews on several electric mowers, I selected this one mainly because it was a Black & Deckard and I thought the battery might be interchangeable with the one in my power drill. As it turns out this is not the case, so if you are thinking the same then do not purchase this mower for that reason! However this mower will mow grass to the specified length just as good as any gas-powered mower that I have ever used. However if you are going to use this mower, obey all safety warnings because these mowers are dangerous machines! On my third time out with the mower, I was slightly hazy from some Ambien taken earlier in the day and did not notice running over my 14-year-old son's foot until hours later when the police came to question me. By that time the charge on the battery had long since died so I was incapable of doing harm to anyone else while I pushed the mower up and down my yard, still under a medicated trance. Obviously the lesson from this is to stay more alert while on medication, particularly when operating a dangerous machine. However this is not a complaint specific to the Black & Deckard mower, but to all mowers in general. I am otherwise very satisfied with this mower, although I took one star off because I do not like the orange color of the housing although if you like that color you may well deem this a five star review with guns blazing.
