My girlfriend made me go to see a Pogues cover band.

On St. Patick's Day.

Two years in a row.

I'm Irish. I like the Pogues.

I hate St. Patrick's Day. I hate cover bands.

i dated a lesbian, and yeah, we went to ani difranco. paula poundstone, though--that's something else.

rabbit, i also like rufus wainwright. saw him with a gay gentleman but we're just friends. it was a really good show.

i should note that i do not like ani difranco.

re: blink 182/green day, i saw that too! green day was pretty awful (they didn't care, at all) and blink 182 were also pretty awful but had an elaborate drum kit/riser system that would routinely levitate to the top of the arena and spin upside down. brad's right, he is a pretty good drummer, and a nice guy.

For whatever reason I once read an interview with Mizzz Difranco in Ms. Magazine wherein she said, without equivocation, that her fans were so obnoxious and disrespectfully vocal during her performances that she had seriously considered never playing live again. I think she went so far as to say 'I hate my fans.'

My wife took me to see Ms. Difranco - it was okay. I remember kind of liking her guitar playing.

The funny part was when she chastised the crowd for talking over her hand-picked opening act. Whoever that wishy-washy folkie woman was, deserved to be talked over. What a bunch of nothing.

i had to go see tori amos at the riverside in like 1995 with the ex. she had tickets to the first of two shows. tori sucked and humped the bench to her bosendorfer, which was kinda sexy, but then somehow we got LUCKY enough to get free tickets to the second show! oh me...what a great time...i hate her and her musics, and the fact that a legion of 15 year old lesbians thought she was the leader of the jane cult. man. i thought that i repressed that memory. thanks alot you guys, im gonna listen to under the pink now....fuckers.

Well, I'm an EA member and I've dated a lesbian who, yes, I went to see Ani Difranco with. However, I didn't go because she made me, and she didn't go because I made her, and lord knows neither one of us wanted to go. No sir-ee we did not.

My new step sister thought it would be "fun" to meet my girlfreind and I for the 1st time, at the evil fucking House of Blues to see Miss Di Franco for an outrageous price, uggh. Given that I was extremely nervous about the future relationship I would be having with my new step father's daughter. my x and I dragged ourselves scowling into the sonic nightmare. But, my step sister thinks I'm cool, so my mother and step father are happy.

By the way, SHE WASN'T EVEN A LESBIAN. Her Birkenstock wearing pothead boyfreind was with her.

Moral: Don't assume every woman who would date/fuck another woman likes Ani Difranco. Just not the case!
