I'm pretty sure the only groups my dad even likes are the Kinks, Creedence and The Band.
My mom likes, or used to like, James Taylor and Carly Simon, and thought that Leonard Cohen was the guy who wrote "MacArthur Park" when I said I liked Leonard Cohen, asking me how could I like that "MacArthur Park" song. That took a little explaining...
Anyway, I'm glad I've found more than that kind of music out there...though I love the Kinks, Creedence and The Band.

That's sort of like my dad. I think he likes James Brown, but he sure as shit hates stevie wonder.
Actually, the only musician he has time for is usually Captain Beefheart.
