Live band room recording here... (old singer)

I'd be interested, I'm currently defeating a mighty throat infection

The vocalist was Chris Corday. I personally thought he was on the right track, but the other guys thought that there was a bit too much of the shouty stuff. I guess that something dynamic would fit the bill, but what the hell do I know... I'm just the bassist. We've had some screamers, crooners and Chad Crugar (sp?) wanna-be's. Really, I don't know, but the crooner was definitely different. I'll P.M. you.

hahahaha
right now I'm in a band with some friends and I sing kind of like rick froberg/danzig? hahahaha
I really take the time to 'build' a voice for a specific sound...it sounds really weird and silly but it's kind of how I approach any band I've 'sung' for
being into voice work/singing helps too
lemme know whats 'going down'

Froberg is amazing. Don't you think that he sounds a bit like Rollins in that 'Think about Carbs' tune? Damn, it's so catchy!!
Get back to me. I gave you all the info you need in the PM.

Caught a new band called "spellcaster" the other night in a new venue called 'The candy bar.' Good band that's definitly worth checking out. Also, I heard the new 'Daddys Hands' album and it kicks ass. It's not out yet, but y'all should keep an eye out.

on friday night i saw a local band at the media club, and they were quite good. their name is 'the anemones.' VU copycats, but aesthetically satisfying to listen to. guitar, bass, organ, organ-preset-beats-style drum machine, vocals, and a minimal drum kit. every song sounded vaguely like venus in furs or sister ray but less chaotic.
after one of their songs, the singer said in reference to the drum machine "i defy you to name another band that uses a cha cha beat." so they don't know suicide or young marble giants, or they're just trying to be funny... but in any case, i would recommend seeing them.
i've never witnessed an audience with tighter pants and smaller jackets, though.
what else is going on? did ogami find a band? how did it all end?

Shagboy, I've been struggeling with this city my whole life and in the last 10 years its music scene has hit the shits. In my mind , I'ts due to lack of solid venues, lack of support of anything actually new and exciting, and just a terrible attitude in the "independant music scene" ... also safe secure afforadble lockout rehersal spaces are tough to score.. talk about frustrating. OH! and our city hasn't any good drummers that aren't already in 14 or 15 projects at one time.
my vote for good vancouver band goes to "trail vs russia"
but they play rarely
if anyone in vancouver wants to talk about starting something fun email me
