dude the yeah yeah yeahs are not the same as jet and the strokes, wes take it back................... i owned one of strokes records, the most recent one. i feel like recorded they are well manicured. i had a big big problem with them at first, especially that twat julian, but he's gotten a little better and so i appreciate that. they rock sometimes, but other times sound like the worst cars songs. ultimately i still think they are garbage though.

They're about as "down-to-earth" as Elton John
Indeed. And they sound like shit.
Crap.

This band reminds me of other bands where the hipness factor trumped the music.
"It's who you know, where you've been seen, how you dress, and most of all, the hype factor that you generate. It doesn't matter how good your music is, the most important is your following".

CRAP
first time i heard the strokes i thought they sounded a little something, and i mean a little but they never got beyond that and their deadpan drone just became monotonous.
i have heard they are a very manufactured band, created and dressed up before theyd even written anything. dont know how true this is

Ha! I'd forgotten about that one. Those guys definitely know how to have fun.
I wish you guys could see the little DIY DVD they packaged with their last album. Completely deadpan and fucking hilarious.
