This record is godawful.
...
But, what the hell, I put this record on and the first lyric, she goes:

When the sky-full of tears
Is threatening to fall
Don't stand in the way
Come inside, close the door
The sky will clear again
After the rain...

Silly guys.

This song is great. It works really well for me when I am physically tired.

'Fiction' is very good record. Beautiful.

I wish it would rain here.
"After The Rain" is an excellent song.
I just dumped $25 for the remastered CD a couple days ago.
Gotta wait for that shit to fly here from the UK.

Comsat Angels were Joy Division for the non-cutty crowd. I dig Fiction but not nearly as much as the first two. I find "After the Rain" to be a great song. "Birdman" ruins the whole album though with it's bullshit "flying with the birds" imagery.

Don't bother with the three on Jive and Island (not to mention the terrible Dream Command disc). "Chasing Shadows" was financed by Robert Palmer if I remember correctly, who was supposedly a fan of the first three. I can't imagine agreeing with Robert Palmer... I've tried to give em another chance after all these years. Nope, still total crap.

Give the last two albums (The Glamour and My Mind's Eye) a try if you like the earlier stuff. Also, Time Considered as a Helix of Semi-Precious Stones is a great disc, being a BBC collection.

Any band whose name references JG Ballard has to be great, doesn't it?
