Were you one of the opening bands at The Crow's Nest in Cottage Grove, Oregon last June?

Yeah, we were the first band.

That was a bad show all around. We'd driven up from San Francisco and when we pulled up to the Crow's Nest, the guy who set up the show introduced himself to me and immediately apologized for not having had time to publicize the show.

After hearing this news, we hauled our gear upstairs to the club, only to find that the PA was an outdated piece of shit that wasn't working for the band that was soundchecking (which apparently was your band). So we weren't in the mood to listen to anything, so we went out and had dinner.

For years we've been playing with lots of touring bands who don't stick around to see our set.

And so what? We're not playing for them. It's not their job to hear us play. Besides, they don't pay to get in.

Paul, I will be bold enough to suggest that you harness the energy you are expending in this thread and use it to write a glorious, rousing song to be titled "I Didn't See Your Band."

Whenever MOTO plays in Mwaukee, I'm in a canoe or on a boat. WTF?

I will see them someday.

Maybe we'd better play on a boat.
