I wouldn't want to lug that around. It doesn't weigh as much as an SVT (we had an SVT at the same time as we owned our Peavey powered PA).That said, they are indeed very heavy power amps. Indestructible, cheap, good for folks just learning how to mix live sound because of the built in limiter, and quite heavy. Just not quite THAT heavy. More like the weight of a Twin maybe.

A friend has the 120/120 but I don't need all that. when I find the Stereo 60 watt, I'm buying it. You can get them for under $200 all day, which isn't really bad for anything tube. I bet they can be modified to be a bit cleaner and more robust even with little effort. Better ground buss, maybe rebuild the power supply. Cool, rarely talked about Peavey things.

They are really cheap and all tube. I got my 60 watt Mono for $125 I think

Alembic F2-B style. Easy to build and less costly than a full amp, probably easy to hunt out some existing versions too.Plus lots of preamps have two or more outputs. And you could just use a splitter or ABY box to feed both amp inpits. PLUS, a lot of power amps have a parallel input switch so you only need one signal line in and it will send it to both side of the amp.EDIT: ok now I see that you are using stereo effects, so you can't give the amp a mono signal. However you could probably run your stereo effects between the pre and the power amp, but don't quote me on that.
