I also continue to circle back regularly to The Mental Illness Happy Hour and will always happily rep for it: if you are struggling, whether low-key or acute, and need to know you're not alone and maybe learn a thing or two more about yourself and humanity, and strengthen those bonds, definitely check it out.

Podcasts with Michael Hobbes as a cohost are uniformly excellent:
Maintenance Phase with Aubrey Gordon - dissecting and debunking health trends, diets, and fatphobia
If Books Could Kill with Peter Shamshiri - examining the nuclear levels of bullshit behind “big concept” books that could be bought in an American airport (think David Brooks, Malcolm Gladwell, etc), and their negative influence
This is pretty good, if a bit repetitive, like they don't need an hour to dis most of these books. The first episode has a great quote though:
"Airport books are like the super-spreader event of American stupidity." Or something close to it. Hahahaha.

The Santa Fe Institute has a podcast called Complexity that is worth a listen if you like musings on math, science, and philosophy. It’s often more than my noggin can comprehend, but it’s always worth a listen.

I forgot to add Qanon Anonymous, which is the only one I pay for on Patreon these days in order to be able to get my fix.

Scent Geeks. UK cast about fragrances.
Party Crews. About 90's "flyer parties" in LA and the murder of a young girl who was part of a "party crew."
Both good.

I've started The Telepathy Tapes.
Promises to be a wild ride, already hooked.
In a world that often dismisses the extraordinary as mere fantasy, The Telepathy Tapes dares to explore the profound abilities of non-speakers with autism—individuals who have long been misunderstood and underestimated. These silent communicators possess gifts that defy conventional understanding, from telepathy to otherworldly perceptions, challenging the limits of what we believe to be real. For years, their parents and teachers have quietly witnessed these remarkable abilities, knowing that the time to share their truth would eventually come. But now, as the evidence mounts, the time has come to reveal what has been hidden in plain sight.
This groundbreaking series challenges everything we think we know about communication and the human mind, inviting viewers to step into a reality where the impossible is not only possible but happening every day. Through emotional stories and undeniable evidence, The Telepathy Tapes offers a fresh perspective on the profound connections that exist beyond words. Traveling with Neuroscientist Dr. Diane Hennacy Powell, witnessing mind-boggling telepathy tests and forging deeply intimate relationships with families around the globe - Host Ky Dickens invites you to contemplate the world through the eyes of those who speak without words. Prepare to be captivated, challenged, and ultimately transformed as the series shines a light on the untold capabilities of those who have been underestimated for far too long.

Four Strings and the Truth. Bass guitar-centric podcast, cool guests like Joe Lally, ol' cranky pants Sims, Mike Watt, Kira Roessler, Klaus Flouride, Bruce Thomas and so on. First season just ended.

Not sure about the political leanings, but the Dalton Fischer Podcast episodes with John Kiriakou were super interesting.
Philosophize This! is a great podcast for an idiot like me, going to through different ideas, old and new.

“They’re all one book”, is my favourite. Mostly I really enjoy Michael Hobbes’ shows.
