^ I know I deserve ridicule for patronizing Starbucks. It's not because I make shitty coffee, though; it's more because I'm lazy. There are four Starbucks closer to my house (in Volo, Lakemoor, Mundelein x2) than the nearest independent coffee shop (in Wauconda), and that particular coffee shop sucks. The nearest good independent coffee shop is a 30-minute drive away in Crystal Lake. These are the joys of living in the exurbs.

I do, however, brew and drink plenty of coffee at home from a "local" roaster, too.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand... sorry for the whiny digression.

Wife and I drove by a shallow retention pond yesterday and there were a bunch of geese *standing* on/in the water.

Wife says, "Hey, look, Jesus geese!"
