On the subject of Dinosaur Jr, I've never liked Green Mind beyond "The Wagon". It's almost Smashing Pumpkins tedious for me.

90's Dino is solid Rawk. Not memorable but good, with some gems here and there. Hand it over is the best I think from that era .

But how can you top YLAOM and Bug?

It came up around the time my brother and I started getting seriously into American underground rock bands, and their Manchester stop while touring this album was our first gig as grunge kids, without our dad as company.

(Though I thought the support, Come, were even better.)
The point made above about You're Living...and Bug are salient, but I'm with you on Where You Been. I saw Dino at Lollapalooza that year (along with RATM, Mercury Rev, Fishbone, AIC, Primus, Babes In Toyland...damn), and it really solidified my love for that album. I like it more than Green Mind. I saw them in Minneapolis touring behind Without A Sound, and I agree with you on Come. I think Brand New Vein made me fall in love with Thalia.

Velvet Underground- Loaded

Sure it doesn't really feel like a Velvets record but there's something cool about it.

Toiling Midget's Son. Lots of people only talk about their 80's output, but Son is otherwordly.

Terror twilight is different from previous Pavements efforts, and probably not as inspired, but most of the songs are great and the recording is top notch. Pavement never put a foot wrong IMHO.

Loaded is awesome.

I almost think all of Tom Waits albums after Closing Time and before Swordfishtrombones are often passed over these days, but maybe that's just me needing to go back to reevaluate.

failure's "comfort" debut. honestly, definitely not albini's finest hour mixing-wise, but it's some very cool riffy, sloppy, messy noise-grunge. my favourite album from them.

I mean, I get it,in between Andy and Tom. But, Bastard Child? Hardly, It's ESSENTIAL to the catalogue. and I have many friends who consider it their best, which, though I disagree, I can't argue with.
