Yup. I had a feeling I related my Carla Bozulich story somewheres. That was it. I'm now thinking about when FM Ike met J Mascis and am about to lose it.
Anyway that could be fun.
On it.

File Under: Easy Listening is a better record overall than Copper Blue, which has a great opening 4 song volley and then shits the bed after that.

I am still trying to decide if Richard Oakes never got his due or was just a guy who was well aware of his role...

Steel Pole Bath Tub has never clicked for me. I don’t hate them or anything, just isn’t a thing I’d ever actively choose to put on.

I find a lot of post-hardcore hella annoying.

I wouldn't say it shits the bed, but File Under... is one hell of an underrated record.

Beaster tops both, of course.

+1 on Beaster.

Copper Blue is awesome from beginning to end.

FU:EL is fine, but I think the underrated record I go to most often is Besides.

I like FU:EL quite a bit song-wise but i find the production a bit tepid compared to the two previous releases. Note; I have yet to hear the remastered version, so hopefully that was somewhat alleviated.

I do like them, they have this bassy sound with samplers that I love but their albums have lots of fat. Maybe "Miracle..." is the closest thing to a great LP they have.

Still you could make a great comp from the best stuff scattered though their records.

i agree. Beaster has the best songs, File Under is a close 2nd, Copper Blue starts out with four absolute classics and then falls apart other than "Fortune Teller"
