After I make the internet explode by putting a Kahler on a '65 Fender, my next stunt will be grafting a Steinberger TransTrem to a '58 Les Paul Gold Top. I'll chop off the headstock to really make the look complete.
FYI, apparently they did do an Epiphone LP w/ a Steinberger trem, but the cowards did not chop the headstock off.

I was gonna say, just put it on a cheap guitar stand and the head will snap off in no time!

Every 5 years or so I will treat myself to a Denon DL-110 cartridge. Pretty much my only "luxury" in life. Now I see the goddamn little bastards have doubled in price since my last buy. Almost $400 ffs.
Can anyone recommend an equally high-performing cart for less than half the price haha THANXXX

Not sure about your setup, but I have a low-mass tonearm setup that does well with the high compliance of the Grado Gold 3. About $260 last I checked. The Red 3 is about $175, which may be closer to your budget.

You can get them for under $300 from Japan.
The bizarre thing is you can sell your used one on ebay for decent money. I sold a well used one for like $60 last year after I bought a new one. Was completely honest about how much it had been used etc....

Thanks. Wow. I dont get this at all. I'm only in the market for a new one cos I'm convinced the sound has gone a bit muffled on my old one. So someone else is willing to pay me $$ for a worn out cart?
Maybe they're cheaply retipping them or something? If that's even a thing. I dont know what I'm talking about.
