Riding a bike at a leisurely pace through some sort of street festival early morning while vendors were setting-up. "Hard Luck Woman" was playing on a sound system and I was singing at the top of my lungs, as was a vendor I noted in my periphery. It was a lovely dream. I also very rarely dream about real world pop songs so I'm taking this one to heart.

Wtf

Woke up from a nap where I dreamt I was listening to "Make It Like it Was," an old-school R&B slow jam by Regina Belle. This dreaming of listening to real life music is concerning, but welcome. Usually when I dream of music it's my own unheard to me music.

It'd be cool if death was just you sinking/floating into the void with all of the songs you've ever enjoyed played back on an endless loop. Like, your brain releases endorphins which unlock all the music you've ever liked as your body gets all decroded. And as the final strands of cortical folding decompose many years into the future the music gently fades out.

I had a dream last night that my girlfriend’s mom played cello in a band called the Righteous Workshops.

The other night, I had one where I awoke covered in tattoos similar to the ones on FM Flanneljammies. I was stunned and couldn’t figure out how they got there, as I’ve never received a tattoo and have no aspirations to ever receive one. I was told that I got really wasted and let a guy freehand a bunch of tattoos. I spent the rest of the dream trying to come to terms with it all.

I dreamt that I was on an airplane travelling to Michigan for a gambling retreat. Former FM Itchy Magoo was a travel partner along with sundry others who weren't readily identifiable save for one guy who I used to fuck with in high school, but he turned into a mega MAGA chud later in life (an embarassing fact about me is I haven't been on an airplane since I was, let's say ten-years-old). This fact was omnipresent in my dream brain as I was marvelling at the experience. Another issue that was weighing on my dream melon was that I had taken this trip on a whim without notifying my employer, and I was very much looking forward to informing them that I took a surprise trip out of town and wouldn't be in for the next couple of days.

The particulars of the flight were rad. The plane was travelling on highways and in residential areas before shooting straight into the sky. I climbed into a space that was situated directly in front of the cockpit so that I might see better, but became hella nervous that I wouldn't be able to leave this area without tumbling backwards being that we were travelling upright. So I just made myself comfortable and waited for the landing which was on the roof of a large garage, or, car hole, which I found peculiar. Looking out on Michigan I watched a diverse citizenry milling about in an economically distressed area. Itchy kept wanting to roughhouse. Then I woke up.

I was in a bar and was explaining how LiDAR works to a bunch of drunk people. There was a woman there who was excited that I had been to Bologna and I told her how I got lost because I took the wrong bus (which actually happened to me in real life). She was cute.

Certainly have had worse dreams.

Had another one of my reoccurring tornado dreams/nightmares last night.

Large wedge tornado traveling in a less-typical east-to-west direction over Lake Michigan and into the north side of Chicago. Was observing the tornado from the north and was not directly impacted by the tornado.

Perhaps I'm subconsciously concerned about Chicago this week? Best of luck with the mayoral election.

Or maybe I was foreseeing the two actual tornadoes that occurred today in DuPage County?! Fuck.

I once dreamed an old friend of mine had died. Was so distraught I had to call her up to really check.

During a midday nap today, I dreamed that I went to see Judas Priest play a show in a warehouse. They would play for 30 seconds, then retreat behind the stage for a bit, then come out and play for 30 more seconds. I brought a mic and a mic stand for Halford to borrow, but then I felt stupid for bringing those things. OF COURSE Rob Halford would have his own mic and mic stand. I felt really dumb standing there with that stuff, so I stashed it on a shelf in the warehouse, then I walked back toward the stage to watch the show. Woke up just as they were about to play “Turbo Lover”.

I'm remembering more of my dreams these days for some reason.

Had another reoccurring "back to school" dream a couple of days ago.

Last night, I dreamt that I was at a Bob Mould show in a small venue. I was up near the stage at the beginning of the show. Bob handed me a guitar that was tuned to an open chord and connected to an amp and said, "Have fun." And then the show started...
