Ridiculousness of appearance and hokiness of songwriting notwithstanding, I could sure think of a lot worse ways to make a living than being in SD.

The music for the most part I like just fine.
The subculture is basically a non-issue, and if people are having nice harmless fun combing their pompadours and wearing vintage clothes and whatever, let them have their fun. But I've had enough experience with rockabilly guys from the exurbs who insist on being called "knuckles" or "biff" and complain about "n----r music" that I gotta call crap.

I'm confused - is this about rockabilly or hellcat records? (crap + colyte)
I thought Elvis and Carl Perkins were rockabilly. (not crap)
