IIRC someone here works at Spotify, no? I have to say, the "Shuffle" feature can fuck right off. That's not what shuffle means nor has ever meant. Make a true shuffle option, please.

I just can't do Spotify or the like from a user experience perspective. I like having a library of music, preferably physical, but that is not always practical. I load up music on my phone for when I'm on the go (and mostly all the time since I don't have a decent stereo right now). The latter still sucks because it is not as pleasant as just walking up to the shelf and selecting something.

Bandcamp streaming is nice because it looks like a digital library.

I'll preview music on YouTube if I can. I also don't mind stealing rare shit. If I like it, I'll probably buy a copy (if available) anyway.

The interesting thing about the Epic/Bandcamp sale is that it seems to me at this point the primary motivator was that it gave Bandcamp the resources to fight off Google/Apple changes that could cripple its app, and that it gives Epic another avenue to attack the digital store monopoly of Google/Apple.

I thought there was a specific thread for this but "bandcamp" and "epic" are difficult search terms and this will have to do. Echoes of layoffs at Bandcamp are making the rounds, probably to the surprise of no one.

OK, I'm done with the "shuffle" feature. The same songs over and again, in pretty much the same order every time. I've gone back to listening in the order in which the playlist was created. I may just mix it up myself manually. Fuxache. So stupid.

So I'm running and my playlist is on shuffle. I go to turn it off but no, press the shuffle again (from the basic shuffle) and it doesn't turn off, it goes to "smart shuffle recommendations." You have to tap it twice to turn it off. Fuckinhell.
