Regardless of what I or anybody else thinks about FF in 2023, I am happy for Freese. Guy's been a jobbing lifer for decades and I hope he gets bigass cheques after every arena show.

If those shows sound anything like their live album he will have earned every dollar too. Could I have none of Dave in the monitor please.

I was hoping Dave would jump behind the tubs and do the Don Henley. They don't need four guitarists.

Rock’s #1 replacement drummer
“I was the last to know!” (Paraphrasing)
“I was chosen because I’m not the music school guy. I have dirt and grease.”
“I’ve been replaced too and it sucks.”

Freese really was the most obvious choice imo. He’s pretty much designed to be the perfect FF in a lab. Definitely not a dig. He’s a solid drummer, about the same age and they all likely knew each other for years.
Plus they made him a proper member not a hired gun like Deftones subjected Vega to for over a decade.

That's a cool move. I can't stand FF but that's solid.

They actually met in the short time between scream and Nirvana.
Oh I forgot to add another actual quote from the video. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. “What’s the last thing the drummer said before he was kicked out of the band?”
