All these songs are 12 pounds of shit in a six pound bag. Tie the bag and try to throw it in a dumpster without letting it spill on you. Booyah.

But some have a few extra kernels embedded.

Kinda surprised that nobody has mentioned Third Eye Blind's "Semi-Charmed Life." I wanted to wring someone's neck every time I heard that peppy intro blasting out of a car radio.

Does Sugar Ray's "Fly" make the cutoff date? It's also quite nauseating.

From the above, the Live or Sublime tunes. Draw. Although I might argue that "I Alone" and "Santeria" are just as bad, maybe worse. (I can't even remember how the Everclear song goes, and I'm not about to look it up for a reminder.)

Song is about a meth addict.

Kind of a guilty pleasure of mine.

Not the greatest song ever, but I don’t think it belongs on this list.

All of the choices are terrible, but some of the songs kind of have hooks and some understandable appeal.

Live is the worst band among those listed. They sound like the result of U2 and Pearl Jam having a really, really stupid baby.

Oh, fantastic.

It's outside both the scope and timeframe of this poll, but Buckcherry had that one tune about "the cocaine." I still can't fucking stand it, though.

Not exactly "Pusherman," these two songs.

(Granted, I'll give you the whole guilty pleasure thing. Fair enough; we've all got 'em.)

The first few years of the pandemic, there were lots of porch hangs, and a common activity was getting drunk and trying to out-cringe each other with the worst '90s music possible. There's a LOT to choose from! We haven't even touched on Hootie and the Blowfish, Crazytown, Spin Doctors, Crash Test Dummies, etc etc. Y'all will be PLEADING for Bush by the time I'm done with ya..

I'm not sure that Hootie or Spin Doctors constitute rock music. They sounds like the music for a mobility scooter infomercial.

Yes it does and yes it is.

Santana hit a late career nadir with "Smooth", which IMO makes him worthy of inclusion in our version of that era's raspberry awards.

All Star still takes the cake for me, though.
