Gramsci wrote:In a nutshell, I think Israel should pull back to the '67 partition and if they want to put a bloody great wall around themselves - only on Israeli land more power to 'em. Then you can watch Hamas take over Palestine and start doing what they do already, oppress women, kill homosexuals, act violently to the non-Islamic population and basically do what all Islamist want to do, which is drive society into a theocracy.

As you well know there's more to it then just the return to 1967 borders - the residual problems caused by the Balfour Treaty for one. And the Balfour Treaty is just one of the reasons the rest of the world (or at least the Brits) have an obligation to Palestinians (and indeed Israelis) for. To say that we should just sit back and watch Hamas take over is callous and unhelpful. If the world, and particularly the US was more equitable in its dealings with the Palestinians I don't think that they'd be particularly keen to allow fascists like Hamas and Islamic Jihad anywhere near them.
No form of division is going to be fair. Putting up a wall is going to be even less effective at curbing the terrorism that's rife in that part of the world.

Gramsci wrote:I find most of the Pro-Palestinian movements are extremely anti-semetic and why the Left are aligning themselves with women oppressing baby murders quite strange.

I don't buy this argument that most pro-Palestinian movements are also extremely anti-semetic. There's no denying that it's the case for some, but I think this argument has been engineered to deflect criticism of the Israelis.
I do however agree with your point about the Left being less critical of Islam and its more radical incarnations and adherents, but I don't think this goes as as far as supporting suicide bombers and "baby murders [sic]"

Right, Rimbaud will be away for the weekend, starting from...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................NOW.
