Line 6 HX Stomp

Here are my thoughts:

- I currently use a Strymon Iridium for at-home playing, but it doesn't have an "aux in" for playing along to stuff off of my phone. I could buy a second box that does that, but why?
- I like that the Helix has a more robust 1/4" jack for the headphones.
- I like that, if I needed to travel but wanted to bring a guitar along, I could throw this in a bag and have a couple pedal-y type things with me.
- Could also be cool to have a "super clean" amp option in there that I could use for at-home synth stuff as well.

Anyone mess with one of these?

I suspect it will do all of that, but I don’t think anyone on the PRF knows anything about it

Have been jonzing to swap out the OG bowling trophy on my Ric 4000 for the Schaller used on the 4004's. Would mean filling the original bridge cavity though. Plus a $refin$ to smooth that bit out and it wouldn't be the proper jetglo black anymore. And, not easily reversible but the Geddy Lee style bridge surround thing looks kinda shit by me...

I briefly had the normal one and I didn't get along with the form factor limitations. I have since picked up the HX Stomp XL which I like quite a bit more as the extra foot switches make a big difference. For playing live I think it is pretty great, I play bass and guitar in a band and it makes switching between the two super easy as I just run it into a pretty flat Phil Jones BP800 and into two 1x15's.

Ha!

I plan on taking an HX Stomp to play Caterwaul. I'll plug into the effects return of an amp and use the amp model based on my own amp.

If you have any specific Helix/HX questions, let me know.

Cheers!
Ben

I've been playing after hours through our Helix into the Aux In (power amp input) of this amp and it's been GREAT. The speaker is a really nice full range for acoustic, and it just works great

Man they did awesome aesthetic work with that amp.
Thanks! It was me, Bob Taylor and a couple cool old guys' pandemic project - the looks are what made it worth doing because acoustic amps in general are pretty uninspiring, but the industry wouldn't accept Taylor suddenly having an electric amp product.

i've got a couple made out of koa or burl walnut that are mental
