Just got back.

High body count. tons of snakes. a few suprises... go for it.

Same here - theater chock full of MySpace kids and bloggers, which led to a nice rowdy time all round.

The movie is everything you'd expect. Which is that it rules.

There are some truly awesome bite scenes and venom-related injuries.

Go see Snakes On A Plane!

(Edited down from last night's post to reflect that at the time I posted, I probably wasn't actually disappointed by the film at all - just a general feeling of coming down from all the majestic hype leading up to the moment - and then realizing that the moment has now passed (Is this what the Portuguese mean by "Saudade"?) Oh yeah, that, and I was completely hammered, also.)

movie was awesome. it had it all: gore, high cheese factor, ridiculous dialogue, gratuitous titties, etc. i laughed, i cried, i damn near pissed my pants from laughing so hard. the audience participation was great, and enhanced the cinematic experience.

I've heard nothing but uniformly great "this is exactly what we expected and more" reviews from my friends who saw it last night. I can't wait for tonight!!

It was totally worth it. I can't wait for the sequel.

No spoilers here, but the crowd cheered several times. SJ played the role!

Also, lots of great "Snake Eye" level point of view shots. All of my favorite snakes were represented, too.

Got tix. I'm dragging my girlfriend into the, shall we say, snakepit. Hope to see the Borat preview again. "Thees is my sister. She is best prostitute all of Kazakhstan."

My god this fucking film ruled.

Everyone was in it. The girl from Peep Show and Clueless, the nerdy dude from High Fidelity, the cop from Will and Grace (erm, so I hear), Kenan from Kenan and Kel...

When the dude from Anchorman came on me and my brother simultaneously went "Whammy!"

Snakes biting tits, cocks, going up a fat birds skirt, eating heads, biting eyes, bursting out of mouths, it was awesome.

The cinema wasn't packed at all but I went to the smallest one, I imagine the huge Warner Village was packed. I got a shiver of excitement when I went up to the girl to buy a ticket and said "Snakes on a plane".

I don't think I've ever laughed so much in a cinema before. It had loads of bits that could have been in-jokes and references from my friends. I think at one point I actually shouted SPORK! Everything the black dudes said was great. Like the one guys reaction to have the venom sucked out of his ass by the steward and then seeing the girl do it, "Now thats what I'm talking about!" So funny! So predictable! So good!

There was gore, comedy, action, horror, thrillernessity (?) and pretty much everything. Most of the characters were kinda shitty but then it had nothing to do with the characters, it was all about the snakes.

My memory is shitty but there was so much good stuff and I laughed so many times. The dog death! The playstation pilot! The dude pissing on a snake! My brother from another mother!

What was great too was the sounds in the background. People off-camera shouting "Ow, you fucking snake" or words to that effect.

Overall: 179/10.

Loved it.
